For me, the first couple of weeks felt really strange, mostly in terms of little things. The food was really spicy for me - even things that weren't supposed to be spicy! I also wasn't too great at using chopsticks at first, which was a little embarrassing during lunchtime at my hagwon, when all the kindergarten students were so much better than I was! But I made it a point to go exploring as much as possible, and try as many new foods as possible. I really ended up loving those first few months when everything was new and exciting.....and now that I'm back in the USA, I really crave kimchi!!!
