When I arrived in Korea, I definitely experienced a degree of culture shock, dealing with a new language, different foods, feeling of homesickness, and even adjusting to peoples' mannerisms. I was able to adapt to this new life in Korea by keeping a busy schedule, working and making new friends, as well as giving myself time to relax at the end of each day. Keeping a blog of my experiences also helped me overcome culture shock.
